TimeOut Sydney
Imagine gin and tonic marmalade. Imagine having that on toast. For breakfast. Or whenever the heck you fancy. If that's your idea of a good time, head on over to Moose General Store and they'll sort you out. Moose is the type of café you have to actively seek out. It's off Redfern's beaten track so the main clientele are keen-bean coffee fiends who found out through word of mouth.
Cherry Picked
The menu is concise, and in an eccentric touch it’s presented to you between the pages of old children’s books. But don’t let this whimsy decieve (sic) you, every item on offer has a phenomenal amount of love and labour behind it (the pork in their Southern Pulled Pork Roll is roasted for about 9 hours).
Urban Walkabout
This kitsch nest for dark coffee, spelt pancakes, atypical jam and hand-made granola is Redfern’s antidote to a big Friday night.

" ... Option One turned out to be Option Best. Moose is stashed in a corner of Redfern that could have just done with any cafe, let alone a good one." Read this article.

"Moose is small but awesome and the staff are really friendly. We eyed the chocolate muffins on our way out - they looked as though they'd cannibalised a whole packet of dark chocolate on their way to some kind of chocolate wrestling competition. On my hit list for sure." Read this post
Eatability
"... brownie was tops"
"The cafe is still pumping out fantastic baked eggs and my better half had the sausage and egg roll with the kick-ass chilli jam. The coffee is sublime."
"This is a superb place. We had the omelette with zucchini, mushroom and sheep's fetta. The eggs were organic, the bread somona sourdough. Others had the poached eggs with grilled tomatoes. The flavours were delicate and refined. Simple but fabulous food. The chocolate brownies were the best we'd had, anywhere and gluten free. The coffee was like everything else, just the best."
Love, Moose General Store.
